The Daily Poetry Stop
I will try to post current poems I am working on. They will probably not be good or complete. But perhaps it will give you an ideal on how I write. A Warning. Since the loss of my wife, I have been in a deep depression... So, the poems that appear here may be very dark.
Play on
© 3/5/2024 by Aubrey E. Drummond
At sixty-five
I still have it man
The ability to play
The jump and the spin
The block and the shot
Come on man, I’m ready
To take on the world..
Just ten minutes in
Can’t jump and I can’t spin
My calves are bricks
I can hardly run
My breath is gone
It went flying on the win
I’m trying my best to catch it
So I can take it in
Man, help me home
Before I come to an end
But don’t you worry
I’ll be back again
